Grisoft's AVG Antivirus is a strong and easy to use virus slayer that's a real bargain when compared with McAfee VirusScan 2007 and Norton AntiVirus 2007. Grisoft also offers AVG 7.5 Free Edition, which is a good, if very limited, product, not something we would recommend if you are on a broadband connection. And Grisoft's two-year license for the AVG Anti-Virus Professional Single Edition costs less than a single-year license for McAfee VirusScan Plus or Norton Antivirus 2007.

The good: Grisoft's AVG antivirus professional is cheap, at a price to suit anyone's pocket, even the 2 year licenced version is cheaper than McAfee and Norton's antivirus products.
The bad: We think that AVG antivirus professional lacks the user friendly interface and scans can not be customised.
The bottom line: AVG antivirus is a cheap and basic antivirus product to suit those on a tight budget. |
