McAfee VirusScan 2007 is the new offering from McAfee and now also includes a firewall and antispyware software as standard. This protects you from viruses, hackers and spyware. McAfee VirusScan 2007 is available in stores, and online from places like Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com and for download from the McAfee.com site. If you can't wait to install and use the product we suggest downloading it, but do make sure you make a backup of the file onto a disk. If you are going to download McAfee VirusScan 2007 be prepared to spend a bit of time doing so as it can become a pain.
Once installed we found that the software does run quite a few things in the background (don't worry they are not bad for your PC) which can slow down older PC's a fair bit, for those with newer PC's this shouldn't be a problem. The face of the product is clean and clear even if a little cluttered and with extra links on the software to try to encourage you to upgrade to their other products like McAfee Internet Security 2007 which we think is a bit of a nuisance, and not very ethical.
